Does anybody know about this having to sign in to get Sudafed in a drug store? Is this because Sudafed is so great we shouldn't be allowed to have it? I've noticed that Sudafed has changed its active ingredient ... What is this about?

Sudafed's main ingredient is pseudoephedrine, which, due to similarities in its structure to amphetamines, is often used as a precursor in methamphetamine labs, and subsequently in illegal drug use.

So basically, by asking for people to sign for Sudafed, the govt can track who might be buying mass quantities of it, and find out who might be producing and dealing drugs.

It's about preventing it from being used for meth production. They get your name so that they can track how much you have been purchasing. They started with just a limit for each purchase....but people would just go to different stores to get what they needed. To combat that, they get your name each time so they can track you better, so that even if you go from one store to another, they can see how much you are buying.

Just found your site...hmmm interesting. lol Actually found you through another site that had you linked (Angry Black B****, from St. Louis).

I will read through the postings.

Whoah, that really sucks. But now I guess I know why I love it so much ...
Advil cold and sinus gets the job doen, and no need to sign for it.
i thought it was just because sudafed is so awesome it must be illegal.

Sudafed is the major ingredient in the manufacture of Methamphetamne, so it's now regulated.
I stumbled here by accident,, but I need to talk to someone around Boston

it is one more mindless way the guv is tryin' to control people from doing Bad Things by taking away the ingredients to do them with.

like, when i was growin' up in ancient times you could actually get most of the stuff y'needed for a decent home chem lab by simply goin' to the drugstore. now? formulations have changed to get anything using cacao beans controlled by the DEA and all the solvents are gone.

i wouldn't mind as much if there was a good outcome that could be documented. no, it's like all this stuff: a contest between the people who take away and people who figure out how to do things with stuff they can get and brains.

meanwhile the rest of us suffer.
